As per the new guidelines, the Maharashtra Government has given a green light to the Bollywood and Television fraternity to resume shoot post-lockdown. The unlocking phase 1 has begun, after more than 2 months of complete lockdown. Maha govt. has asked makers to follow the new guidelines and all the safety precautions while shooting on the sets. After the John Abraham starrer Mumbai Saga, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 is also set to resume the shoot. Yes, you heard that right!

Sadak 2 stars Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles. According to a report in Mid-day, the makers of Sadak 2 will most probably resume the shoot by the first week of July. Confirming the same, the co-producer Mukesh Bhatt told the tabloid, “We are planning to resume the shoot of Sadak 2 by the first week of July.” Sadak 2 is just a song shoot away from calling it a wrap. The song featuring the lead actors Alia, Sanjay, Pooja, and Aditya was supposed to be shot in Ooty, but due to the pandemic, the show will now be shot in Film City, Mumbai.

Speaking about the same, Mukesh Bhatt told Mid-day, “We got the go-ahead [from Film City] yesterday. So, we are putting things in order and will soon [determine] the studio we can shoot in. We will have to build a small set for the song.” During his conversation, Mukesh Bhatt also revealed that there are no plans of releasing the film on any OTT platform. They are first focusing on completing the post-production of the film.

Sadak 2 is a sequel of the Mahesh Bhatt film Sadak starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in lead.
